How we help
We understand the challenges of relationships, and work hard to create a non-judgmental environment that allows you and your partner to be honest and open about your struggles. One of our main values as couples and relationship therapists is to truly understand each of you as individuals, as well as understand both the challenges and strengths of your relationship, and the dynamic within the relationship.
We understand that when you begin couples therapy or marriage counseling - you are looking for solutions to your problems. We are here to help you find creative solutions, and make lasting changes in your relationship. With that in mind, we don’t just focus on the negative. In our work with couples, we help them identify the positive aspects of their relationships as well, as a way to help identify what you want to create more of in the relationship, and leave behind what is no longer working for you and your partner.
All of the couples therapists on our team have extensive training several research-backed and effective couples therapy methods, including Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy. With these methods, the goal is to help you improve communication, repair conflict in a healthy way, restore intimacy, and get to the root of the unhealthy relationship cycle that has gone on too long.

Complete your intake sessions. With the Alchemy Therapy and Wellness Method, you and your partner will meet with your therapist for an intake session to explore what problems you are facing in your relationship, discuss your relationship history, and identify your goals for couples therapy. After our first couples intake session, your therapist will meet with you each individually. This is a crucial aspect of the couples therapy we provide because it helps your therapist understand your individual history and goals, and make sure that your therapist can understand exactly what you are experiencing in the relationship, so they can help you meet your goals and improve your relationship.
Continue the couples work. After the individual sessions with each of you, we will come back together for a couples therapy session and begin working on your treatment goals. Consistency is key and we recommend starting with weekly, or sessions every other week to start. Sessions are available in person in our Summit County (Frisco) office, our Denver office, as well as on telehealth throughout Colorado if that is more convenient for you and your partner.
